The updated Summary includes the following changes and more:
- Immigration Reform & Control Act and I-9 Forms: New Form I-9, which must be used by all employers as of January 22, 2017
- Massachusetts Wage & Hour Laws: New Massachusetts minimum wage rate of $11/hour as of January 1, 2017; added definition of hours worked; and added pay deduction rules
- Affordable Care Act: Added a note that the law remains in effect, but is expected to be repealed and replaced. We will post new legislative developments on our website as they occur.
- Posting Requirements: In addition to including the posting requirements in our Quick List of the Laws, the more detailed description of the laws also notes whether a posting requirement applies.
